She had gotten ready to explore most of the uncharted areas of Area Zero when the voice of a familiar male calls out to her. He would assume, as always, that she would have the affairs of her ambassadorial work to do at the Galarian embassy than to help with patching up the wounded league officers that she had to find there. “I would not presume such a thing.” The dark magenta haired royal ambassador cuts in with her stern words. “While I do have my duties as the royal Galarian ambassador and my country's princess, I’m deployed as a medic to ensure that the league officers here have their wounds taken care of.” She’ll have her first aid kit in her pack like Alexei Ivanov had taught her to when she had first gone out with him for medical care.[break][break]

The King of Bountiful Harvests floats by her side, his eyes watch over the form of the young blue-haired man. Elise had wanted to have the King experience coming with her, so that she’ll be able to use his power to heal the wounded if there was a need for emergency care. [break][break]

Zachary was more surpised to see her there-- but his word choice was poor. He figured she acted as a polititan, and not a medic. He didn't know that detail. He frowned at her statement. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have presumed. But I didn't think you would be here of all places. " Zachary apologized, not meaning to be discourteous. "Please excuse me." he said sincerely. [break][break] He had come to think of her as a friend. Though ignorant of what she was capable of, she wasn't exactly the best to share such information. After all, she had been through quite a lot. Her mother's death and her responsibilities as royalty too. The last thing he wanted to be was insensitive. [break][break] He was quiet for a moment, realizing he took the excursions here for granted. However, that thought went out the window as a low rumble started. At first, it felt like a small earthquake-- but soon followed by a loud, echoing bellow of some sort from some kind of beast. It made the walls shake and caused small alarm. [break][break] "What was that...?" Zachary asked, nervous. [break][break] Part in eagerness to complete his task to explore, part out of shame for his poor words to his friend, he felt the urge to leave. "I-um-- better get going. I'm so sorry Elise. " he said. Recklessly, Zachary quickly marched off, prepared to go back into Area Zero. However, he forgot the important rule. Do not go in alone. As in human companions to depend on. Something Elise probably wouldn't ignore but out of shame and alarm, he felt compelled to go. [break][break] Zachary quickly made his way to the camp entrance and took out his Pokeballs. With a crack of them-- he released two Pokemon. One was Dizzy. His best friend and Delphox Pokemon, greeted him with a positive yip of greeting. Possibly cause he saw Zachary looking shamed or sad. Zachary pushed it aside and opened the second. This one was Kirlia. Kirlia was one pokemon he was proud to have. While it ws not as strong as Dizzy-- the benefit of it was its ability to teleport. Since entering Area Zero, he always had one Teleporter on hand whenever he was out and about exploring. [break][break] Out of character, Zachary looked to both of them. "Alright, guys. Time to go. Keep sharp and lets see what's out there. " Zachary explained as the two Pokemon followed him out of the tent and into the wilds of Area Zero's caverns. [break][break][break][break]

When he excuses himself after he said he was sorry for judging her on her profession, the ambassador waits for the young man to talk with her again before she hears him talk that he had to go. “Wait-” She tries to get him to stay, so that they’ll stick together. Yet, the young man and his Pokemon go off into the area by themselves. Everyone in the rangers knew that going alone in an uncharted place like this could lead to a lot of trouble.[break][break]

“Come on, Your Majesty, we need to follow him.” The ambassador calls over to the floating Calyrex as Charles follows her when she’ll tail after the fleeing trainer and his psychic Pokemon. Though he was mainly going through a stupid direction, she was not going to abandon him to whatever cruel fate waited for him if he continued to be this reckless. [break][break]

If he had gotten hurt, she’ll have the Calyrex heal his wounds while she’ll use her first aid kit to help with medical aid.[break][break]

His haste was driven out of emotion and not the smartest thing-- and Zachary knew it while he now wandered the caverns of Area Zero. He felt bad he had said such careless things to his friend. Perhaps he was beating himself up too much-- but still, he felt he had hurt Elise though she didn't show it. She was not in the best place since he saw her last. [break][break] A soft whimper came from Dizzy-- the fox easily sensing Zachary's melancholy. Kirlia too, keyed in on Zachary's emotion, and could sense his sorrow. He wiped away a tear with his sleeve-- and turned to his pokemon. "I'm fine. Really! Look, let's keep going. We can't afford to not explore this place for any things of interest. Besides, Elise doesn't need someone like me bothering her. She's a princess. She probably has far better company than me that she can depend on." he expressed, only putting himself down. [break][break] Dizzy and Kirlia looked at eachother, clearly seeing his self-deprecating attitude. They didn't agree. Had they been somewhere more safe, they would of snapped him out of it. As they reached the darker parts of the interdimensional cave, the crystals shimmering-- their light begean to dim by something. The sounds were echoing in the caves. Zachary paused and Dizzy raised his torch-- lighting up their surroundings a bit more. "Huh... is something there?" Zachary asked. [break][break] There was no answer, but Dizzy clearly distrusted the silence and gave an angry snarl at it. Suddenly-- something moved. Out of the darkness-- was an odd symboled face. It looked like an eye, and soon raomed out-- being attached to the face of a man clad completely in black. It was like something out of a horror movie with the masks as he almost 'sneaked' forward, silent as the dead. [break][break]"Um... not the place to cosplay?" Zachary responded with a nervous wise-crack response, his sarcasm being a clear coping mechanism. [break][break] However-- the one mask became two, then three-- till four of them were before him, causing Zachary to back up. At first, Zachary presumed they were Rocket-- but they looked NOTHING like he was told Rocket were part of. [break][break] "Who is this? One of the expedition members?" one asked. [break][break] "It doesn't matter. They have fallen to the dark. It is our job -- to feast on this ignorant soul." another answered. [break][break] "Enter into nothing, and become nothing." another said, and they all drew out their Pokeballs. [break][break] Dizzy's flame blazed up with aggression. He quickly jumped up in front of Zachary, acting to protect him. A gulp escaped Zachary, but he took on a defensive stance. "Uh oh..." he said, realizing these people were not... normal. [break][break] "Unown-- bring him to oblivion." they said in almost perfect unison. Flashes of light came from their Pokeballs-- and soon more odd 'shapes' appeared in the dark. The Pokemon to appeared seemed to be 'eyes' as part of odd squiggly lines, like runes. [break][break] "What the hell?" Zachary said as he examined them with his Pokedex. [break][break][break][break] "Huh? That's it?! " Zachary asked, perplexed by the Pokemon and their mysterious cult-like owners. [break][break] "Take him." the leader of the cult declared. [break][break] The unown began to float around, moving in odd patterns with one another. As they danced, a dimensional energy started to gather-- as if threatening to launch an attack. [break][break] "That doesn't look good..." Zachary said as he backed up, trying to understand what they were doing. [break][break][break][break]

She had to use the map to find out where Zachary and his Pokemon were. The ambassador worried for him since he hadn’t meant to hurt her feelings and she’ll see a small network of caves at the end of the green field. This would take her a bit of time to find out where her friend may be.[break][break]

“I know what to do.” She gets the answer of attempting to know the young man’s whereabouts as the High King nods to her. “Let me borrow your power briefly. We can find out where he is if you can use your precognition.”[break][break]

The Calyrex’s head glows green when he uses his Future Sight’s power to let her see a vision. She’ll be able to see the blue-haired young man being cornered by a masked person and their Unown while the walls proved to be a cave of sorts.[break][break]

After the Future Sight ends, the duo of ambassador and her king arrive to the exact cave shown in the High King’s power and she’ll give her order to her Calyrex. “Charles, stop their Unown with Energy Ball!” An Energy Ball from the hare king is able to stop the Unown from advancing onto its attack on Zachary and his Pokemon.[break][break]

Thankfully, the ambassador is relieved that her companion isn’t hurt, but she does have a few words to say when it’s over.[break][break]

Zachary had hesitated in the fear of having four against one! They had surrounded him and with strang Pokemon, and Dizzy was all he had at that moment. Kirlia kept close to Zachary's side-- his critical backup. Should things really get bad, it could teleport him out-- and it was looking like an emergency need. He was about to get Dizzy to fight-- but soon his fears were quelled by the shout of a familiar voice. It followed by the sudden shot of an energy ball, illuminating up the cave halls and hitting one of the Unknown. [break][break] "E-Elise?! It's you! But why are --" he said, surprised-- but heartfelt grateful she was there. She displayed power equal to her rank and skill as a great soothsayer and the loyal partner to the Pokemon King. If these creeps wanted to fight her, they'd be in for hell. [break][break] At that itme, the cultists were quick to respond. "Quickly! Finish the ward. Send them all to the other dimension!" he shouted, causing the remaining Unown to spin faster and make the energy orb move. [break][break] Snapping back to his senses, he overheard the order. "Not going to happen! Dizzy-- Magic Room!" Zachary shouted. [break][break] The fox's eyes glowed as he extended his power and slammed a paw to the ground. A pulse of psychic energy shook the surroundings, and a pink-violet shade covered the surrounding area. The area was soon formed by a strange room of floating boxes and multi-colored walls. [break][break] The moment the Magic Room was deployed-- the energy that the unown were trying to make-- popped. The growing spark fizzled out, disappearing and scattering the unown. The masked people would look surprised, if their faces were viewable. [break][break] "Call it a hunch, but I don't think you can open a dimensional rift-- when another Pokemon has one clashing with theirs. Can you?" Zachary replied. Not about to let it go with so many against them-- Zachary took out another Pokeball, attempting to even the odds. "This is for ambushing us! Go-- Anubis!" [break][break] He tossed the ball into the air and it snapped open, spilling out the energy of a new Pokemon. [break][break] Elise would get a good first-time look at him. THe Umbreon, Zachary had come across and befriended. The sleek, noble black creature snarled defensively at the enemies, determined to fight to keep Zachary and his friends safe. "Anubis-- Dark Pulse! " [break][break] Umbreon' let out a loud growl-- and from its mouth, released a series of dark rings, spiraling out at one of the Unown-- breaking the formation of the distortion further. [break][break][break][break]

The attack was a success since the Unown that the Energy Ball hits is interrupted by the appearance of the ambassador and the High King. His Delphox’s Magic Room assisted with making the Unown unable to displace them in another dimension though she thinks that their Unown aren’t strong enough to do this. [break][break]

“I will talk a little later on what I think they are.” The ambassador spoke when her friend sends out a familiar Pokemon. An Umbreon with its normal palette unlike the shiny Umbreon that she had as a starter. His Umbreon goes with a Dark Pulse onto the Unown that tried to attack them.[break][break]

As the masked person’s Unown gets knocked back, they ask a question to the royal Galarian ambassador with a growl. “If you have gotten favored by this legendary Pokemon, are you its Avatar?” The masked person turns to their Unown and they bark out an order. “Take care of the woman! The sooner that we can get rid of its Avatar, our cohorts will be pleased!”[break][break]

Elise doesn’t answer the question directed at her though she’ll give a command to the High King. “Help Anubis out and use Energy Ball.” Charles begins to release another green orb of floral energy towards the attacking Unown as the attack knocks the other psychic type Pokemon back.[break][break]

"You leave her alone!!" Zachary shouted. He didn't know who they were, or what an "Avatar" was-- but Zachary didn't care. They were targeting Elise and that was not going to happen. "Anubis-- Snarl!!" [break][break] The patterns on Anubis glowed brightly with his righteous anger. He soon let out a loud and eerie snarl that radiated a dark pulse of energy all around. The snarl hit the unknown too, both of them being knocked out of orbit of one another. With that done and their ranks broken-- Zachary took that opportunity. As Elise took out the last one with her Charles, Zachyry took action with the last of them. [break][break] "Let them have it, Dizzy! Mystical Fire!!" he shouted with a punch. Dizzy didn't hesitate as he drew his stick and drew a circle of fire in the air. With a flick of his stick and a howl-- a stream of fire shot out toward the masked men. The following eruptin and cries caused enough chaos among them, making them scatter. [break][break] "Retreat! Retreat!" one of them said as they ran off into the darkness. Whatever plan they had, they didn't anticipate both Zachary's arsinal as well as Elise's over powered legendary Pokemon. [break][break] As the danger passed for the moment, Anubis soon turned back to see Elise and Zachary. THe loyal dark pokemon soon sat on his haunches, patient and well-mannered as it gave a soft cry to them. Dizzy also let out a sigh of relief, the fox nervous that something bad would of happened. [break][break] Zachary turned, and remembered how things happened a few minutes ago. He wondered if she would scold him or she would explain. Probably the former, as Zachary did do something reckless and stupid. [break][break][break][break]

The combined assault from the young man’s Delphox and Umbreon send the masked men running after they speak of their retreat. A relief comes onto the royal since she doesn’t have to deal with them though it begged the question of whether they knew she did not have any powers bestowed onto her other than the shard the original King gave her. Charles the Calyrex floats by her side as the fledgeling hare king watched the sight of the men disappearing into the deeper parts.[break][break]

“Well, I hope you learned that you should not go off by yourself.” The ambassador spoke though her tone was more of a gentle rigidness than when she would’ve be upset. “That man that spoke about Avatars… It’s a privilege that legendary Pokemon give, but a friend of mine worries that the High King at the Dyna Tree would’ve given me his patronage.” She remembers the words of Sheriff Navidson and how he spoke of legends being terrible for a person’s health. “However, the High King has not decided on such a thing yet fortunately. He has given me a shard copy of himself to travel with me.”[break][break]

The Calyrex rests onto her shoulder as if Charles is feeling a bit tired. “I named him, Charles. Informally, I nickname him Charlie when he wants me to.”[break][break]

A small bit of confidence swelled in Zachary's chest, but soon he returned back to his more humble nature as he turned to have Elise give him a firm but kind warning not to go off on his own on this. He answered with silence, then bowed his head, a clear look of shame on his face. "You're right. I'm sorry Elise..." Zachary replied, knowing he errored. Dizzy gave an agreed nod. Anubis soon sat on his haunches besides Zachary and gave a noble bow. If not to Elise-- the Eclipse Pokemon clearly showed his respect to the King Pokemon of all things, like a loyal knight. [break][break] She explained briefly about avatars, but still didn't understand what an Avatar was. "Well, its still a great privlage to have the company of a legendary pokemon of any type? I'd love to have the company of one someday if one found me worthy. You're very lucky Elise," Zachary said with a smile as he gave a friendly wave to the Crown Pokemon, remembering him from the stories around the tree. [break][break] As he knelt next to the psychic Pokemon, he wondered how much he was to the original. "I wouldn't imagine it was a copy or anything lesser than what it is. Sure there are many pokemon of many species. I wouldn't presume there would ever be just one without some exceptions. Is it connected to the real one? Acts the same? I doubt it be a a simple 'doll' or 'puppet'. " Zachary asked, tempted to pet the strange crown as if to test it-- which may not be wise. [break][break] Back to the topic though-- Zachary was curious. "But what exactly is an Avatar then? And who were those creeps in the masks? They didn't look like Team Rocket at all." he said, confused by the men with the unown. There was a lot to explain, but perhaps they should teleport back to base for more? [break][break][break][break]

Seeing the Delphox bow before the King Pokemon, the floating Calyrex accepts the bow from the magician-like fox with a majestic flourish of his hand. Elise nods at the young man’s apology before he says that she’s very lucky to have a legendary Pokemon by her side. The diplomat doesn’t think it’s luck, but the Calyrex at the Dyna Tree had a understanding of her worries.[break][break]

“Someday, you may have a legendary Pokemon that will notice you.” Elise replies to Zachary before she chuckles a little. “And it wasn’t really luck. The Calyrex at the Dyna Tree knew what it was like to be a ruler like I was and he understood me well.” And she wanted to prove to the High King at the Dyna Tree that she’ll use her qualities as a leader to everyone’s benefit.[break][break]

As the blue-haired psychic type specialist asks his questions about her shard Calyrex, she would answer them with a little smile. “He has a psychic link with the original Calyrex, but I would think he acts a little different than the real one. He’s more of a young king than anything.” He also asks about the masked men that they had fended off and she did get warnings from her elder cousin about them. “From what my cousin told me, he believes they’re from a shadow organization known to hunt down Avatars.”[break][break]

She probably wouldn’t worry about Remy, Illeana, and Councilwoman Livy since they can handle themselves with their patrons.[break][break]

While the information about how the Legendary Pokemon behaved next to its counterpart-- Zachary heard Elise regarding their attackers. A shadowy organization with a grudge against avatars? Who they were and what they still were, still a mystery. "I only thought the active criminal group out there was Rocket. So you're saying there may be other teams lurking around Area Zero? " Zachary asked, looking around cautiously. [break][break] "Well, I guess its all the same but that is alarming to know that they are here and that dangerous. I didn't even think trainers could get Unown to do that kind of stuff. But how do Avatars fit in? " he asked, but perhaps they should take that to another place. [break][break] While Zachary got some useful data-- it was time they got back before they get ambushed again. "Let's get back before more chaos happens. Kirlia, if you would?" [break][break] As they gathered around Kirlia, he made a small cry and with it-- light enveloped them all, teleporting them back to camp. [break][break] The light faded and they soon found themselves right outside the complex of the tent, safe and sound. THough the sky was the same with the rocks and crystals, they felt safe enough there. "It's times like these I love being a Psychic pokemon trainer," he said confidently as he looked to Kirlia. "Thank you, buddy!" . The kirlia gave a tired sigh, as teleporting multiple people was difficult but he was grateful and happy too all the same. [break][break][break][break]

Shaking her head at his question, she doesn’t know much if this organization was like Team Rocket. “I wouldn’t know if there were others like them. They appear to be a little different than Rocket.” Though she hasn’t been in Hoenn long that she’d know what their motives were or why they were going after people who were Avatars to their patron legendaries.[break][break]

She’ll be able to answer his second question when they weren’t in the middle of dealing with the masked man getting one of their other allies to deal with her and her friend. His Kirlia would luckily be the one Pokemon to teleport them back to the tent within the base for league’s explorations. Her Calyrex still rests on her shoulder though he floats over to be held by the dark magenta haired Galarian ambassador.[break][break]

“Avatars fit in because this organization wants to see them dead. I think…they must have some sort of grudge.” The ambassador gives her small theory though when she can talk with her elder cousin later, he might know more. “We should rest up for today. it’ll do us no good if we’re not well-rested for another exploration.”[break][break]

She’ll prepare the sleeping bag for a rest inside one of the tents. Maybe there would be more answers when she’ll get some information on what kind of motives the men wanted.[break][break]
